Meet the Artist
Ruth Thevamanimohan is a Sri Lankan graphic designer and illustrator based in Toronto, Ontario.
Her story begins as most of our lives start: doodling—or rather scribbling—on paper. From a young age, Roothie always had a keen interest in arts & crafts. She especially enjoyed capturing her creative ideas and launching them onto whatever medium she could get her hands on.
For a while it was pencil crayons and then watercolours, but everything changed when she purchased her very first drawing tablet. It took her passion for art and lit it on fire (but in a great way)! Watch out—this creative Canadian is a force to be reckoned with!
Roothie specializes in colourful and quirky illustrations that are sure to make you audibly exclaim: “Whoa. She’s so cool.” When she’s not doodling, Roothie can be found hanging out with Wally, her golden doodle—there’s always a doodle involved somehow!
Currently, Roothie works as an Art Director for Foreign Rider Co. while diving into the exciting world of needle felting.
